Crazy stuff always happens to me.
Especially if it is embarressing. Yep….
So, because I can think of nothing to really blog about, I thought I’d tell a funny story of something that recently happened.
Setting, Minden, Lousiana. Wal-Mart Parking lot.
One sunny day, I drove to Wal-Mart, without my tiny tot, to pick up some much needed items.
I got what I needed, and decided that I would just carry all my bags, instead of keeping them in the cart. I didn’t have much, and what I did have was somewhat light.’
So, off I go, out the door. I was holding my bags in one hand, and my purse in the other.
I was wearing this dress:
So, with bags and purse in hand, I walk out the door and head out onto the crosswalk. I am almost to the middle of the crosswalk when I notice how busy it is. THere are cars on each side of me and lots of people walking about.
ALL OF A SUDDEN
a strong gust of wind blows. Several strong gusts of wind blow and the wind causes my dress to blow up over my waist!
Frantically, I attempted to pull my dres back down over everything that was exposed! But, because my hands were full, and because I was in a panic,
I accidentally yank my dress down, below my strapless bra.
Yep.
And , then, I nonchalantly adjust my dress, and continue walking towards my car.
I could feel my face burning….
Yet still, my only thought was:
“At least I wore cute underwear!”

At least this didn't happen to you in 6th Grade where half the boys in your class would have seen you during recess! The good news here is that I used to wear short shorts under my dresses and skirts since Chicago is “The Windy City”. I still got snickered at though.
